Lori Rauser, Jen's godmother, visited us over Easter. We always thought she was a fairy godmother, and now we're convinced. She showered us with delicious gourmet dinners, books and adorable clothes for Ainsley, and witty conversation. After making it through a hectic end of week in Oak Park, we all headed out to Rockford to celebrate with Grandma Van Howe and the Van Howe's of Davenport. Unfortunately, sweet Ellie had a nasty flu bug which was shared with Farah and ultimately Ainsley. We've all recovered, but we're grateful to have had Lori and Grandma VH around to help us sodier on. Ainsley just had her 9 month check up, and despite losing some weight due to teething and the Easter virus, she's doing wonderfully. The doctor said her motor skills are that of a one year old, and she's clearly very social. No suprises here... as one mom at the library said, "she is very motor driven."
We're all so pleased to have had a 80 + degree day and get outside. Whoo hoo--we know our midwest friends and family are ready for warmer days and outdoor fun! Hoping all are well. We will try to get more current with the Blog moving forward -- March and April knocked us around..

We loved seeing you all, even though we were sunk at the bottom of the illness well. The sight of your blurry faces at the top, framed by sunlight, helped us feel happy even if we weren't well.
